Vic Van Schiak, President of the Indiana Conference
Pastor Vic has served in ministry for over 27 years in the states of Iowa, Missouri and Indiana. He obtained a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership in 2009 and a Master of Divinity in 1993, both from Andrews University. His Industrial Engineering undergraduate degree is from Georgia Institute of Technology.
In April of 2018 Pastor Vic was asked to serve as President of the Indiana Conference. Prior to this he served as the senior pastor of the Cicero Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as the Ministerial Director for the conference. He continues to be one of the television hosts for Hope for Life TV, aired on WHMB Channel 40.1.
Evangelism is a passion of Pastor Vic, as is evidenced by his ongoing commitment to the Ignite Indiana initiative of the conference. In addition, he believes in the power of prayer to change lives and to empower the various ministries of our members and pastors across the state of Indiana. “Earnest prayer, combined with our surrendered lives and willing hands, will result in many blessings across our Hoosier state. Please join with me in daily prayer and study of God’s word.”
Pastor Vic and his wife, Angela, a licensed clinical social worker, have two young adult children – Christian and Sofia.
